Scorecrow collects Twitter "tweets" of soccer games, in real time, and turns them into gamecasts.
If you're a fan of a U.S. Division-2 soccer, you won't find gamecasts for your team's matches on ESPN's SoccerNet.
But you will find them here.
"tweets"? really?
Sure. There's always at least one person covering every game live via
Twitter. Connect them to a match here and they'll be part of the gamecast.
so it magically reads tweets?
It tries. It simply searches for key words, like "goal" or "red card", and creates game events when it finds them.
It's not perfect, though, and it's a work in progress.
hey, this score is wrong!
That's the "not perfect" part. And that's why there are little "add", "edit" and "delete" links on the
gamecast page: so that mistakes and missing events can be quickly & easily fixed. Think of it like
Wikipedia for live soccer.
